Vaginal Prolapse - Cystocele (fallen bladder)
This 3d animation of the female pelvic floor anatomy depicts a vaginal prolapse (cystocele). The anterior wall (pubocervical fascia) between a womans bladder and her vagina weakens or tears and allows the bladder to herniate into the vagina and cause a fallen bladder which can be painful. A transvaginal mesh can be inserted to surgically repair the collapse.
